Uruguay won 1-0 in Costa Rica early this morning, arguably giving them a decent advantage for the return leg on Wednesday. Costa Rica were down to ten men for the last 40 minutes or so after Randall Azofeifa was dismissed, but the damage had already been done by Sao Paulo’s Diego Lugano who scored after 21 minutes.
